Mt. Bachelor – A Mountain Biking Paradise

If you’ve gone skiing in Central Oregon during the winter, you most likely will have been to Mt. Bachelor a few times in the past because it’s one of the top skiing destinations in Central Oregon.

Since Mt. Bachelor can remain open for skiing sometimes until May, it’s easy to see why the mountain doesn’t usually open for mountain biking until June because they essentially have to get the mountain ready for mountain biking, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

At Mt Bachelor, there are hundreds of miles of track, encompassing a wide variety of ability levels so this destination literally offers something for every mountain biker regardless of their skill set.

Besides offering tons of excellent trails to go mountain biking, or hiking, Mt. Bachelor’s ski lifts also remain open during the summer, so you can easily ride one of the lifts up to the top of the mountain with your bike without having to hike to the top.

Mountain biking shouldn’t be the only thing that brings you to Mt Bachelor, here you’re also going to find challenging zip line trails which will give you an adrenaline-pumping ride down the mountain as well/

Don’t have a mountain bike? No problem! You will also find plenty of mountain bikes available for rent here as well. There is also a dedicated bike repair shop that can fix and repair mountain bikes and a store that will sell you all of the gear that you need.

Mt. Bachelor Covid-19 Update

Before heading out to Mt. Bachelor for mountain biking this summer, make sure that you come prepared with your face mask.

You may be thinking that you wouldn’t need to bring a face mask if you’re going to be mountain biking and doing something outdoors, but if you plan on using one of the lift lines at Mount Bachelor during the summer, you have to come prepared with your face mask because Governor Brown has required people to have their faces covered when they are entering or exiting lifelines at any of Oregon’s mountains.

There’s still plenty of time to enjoy mountain biking at Mt. Bachelor since the mountain biking season typically lasts until about September 7th so, make sure you start planning your adventure now because it’s a destination that you do not want to miss!
